Hairy-nosed wombat

Sometimes people don’t care enough about the environment and animals. Industrialization causes a lot of damage to the health of different species and destroys their habitats. That’s one reason why animals can be endangered until they finally disappear.

Hairy-nosed wombats are an example of animals that suffering from consequences of the industrialization. Because of deforestation in the forests of Australia, the wombats’ habitat has been destroyed, but this is not the only cause of their decrease. There are also people who hunt them for their fur to make rope. However to preserve this species, as it’s explained, people can’t hunt them anymore and many of them have been transported to an enclosed environment in Queensland to protect them from being killed by the owners of cattle.

To conclude, there is no certitude that wombats will survive because they are one of the most endangered species. There are not a lot of them still alive. It’s a good reason to take care of them because each species is important in the world.

Marine mammal center

People’s gestures have sometimes consequences on animals’ lives. It’s important that someone take care of those animals. It’s why Marine Mammal Center exists. They take care of elephant seals, sea lions and harbor seals. They are located in Sausalito in California. Since the Mammal Center exists they could save about 50 % of the sick and injured animals which they found on the beach. They save animals which have physical abnormalities because of the toxicity and the absence of food in the water. The objective of this group is to permit to the animal to go back in the ocean as soon as possible. They are released because the vets don’t want that the seals animal become dependent of them. However, when they judge that the creatures are not able to survive of by themselves in the sea after their care, they will kill them by euthanasia. When they are treating those animals they see that the population of our ocean is decreased.

Today, people don’t really care about the environment. This is sad because our descendants will suffer of that, because everything is interconnected. There is a lot of evidence that proves it.

Interconnectedness explains the connection of everything in the world. In fact everything we do has consequences on person’s lives. In other words every side of people is in link to something else. For example, when someone dies we bury him or her in the earth and his or her body decomposes. All his or her molecules will be absorbed by plants. Animals will eat those plants and will in turn absorb the molecules. Then humans will consume the animals and the molecules which were in the dead person will be absorbed by humans. Because of that, people should understand that molecules accomplish a cycle everywhere in the world. Earth, air, water and fire also form a cycle. Those are the four elements which compose our environment.

In the past people had the conviction that they were able to stay interconnected to nature with the songs the prayers and the rituals they had. Today, the way to understand how everything is connected is toward the media. The media give us information about what is going on in the world but people only get a small part of the information. Because the information is in fragments, people don’t always see the real relationship between nature and humans.

Furthermore, because humans are able to change the physical characteristics of the earth, the humans consider themselves that they are a "superspecies". It can be explained by the fact that they can do things that nobody else can do. For example, people can create their own habitat, because they have powerful technology. Also, people are supposed to be connected to the earth and also to the water, the fire and the air but they destroy that link. Humans are surrounding by nature. People are also part of nature, because they are constituted of the same molecules that are in the water and the air. The fire is like all the energy accumulated in humans. This energy comes from the sun.
